Felicia Zannino-Baker was born and raised in Baltimore City. She currently resides in Washington, DC. After receiving her BFA in Interior Design from the Maryland Institute College of Art, she held management positions at the Washington Design Center, within a high-end residential design firm and in retail home furnishings, gathering knowledge and expertise in all aspects of the Interior Design Industry.
During her two-decade career, Felicia has developed a diverse portfolio which includes loft spaces, transitional designed interiors, traditional interiors which sometimes include antiques, retro design, as well as modern corporate design. Her firm has grown from a single location in Washington DC to a second design studio in Baltimore, Maryland.
Felicia has developed a strong reputation as an art consultant and supporter of local artists; working in all forms of media. She is active in both the Baltimore and Bethesda arts districts. Felicia believes that art and accessories are critical to the successful completion of a room. Her expertise allows her to place art that is perfectly suited to enhance each room she designs.
Felicia Zannino-Baker is an Allied Member of ASID. Her work has been published both locally and nationally.
Prior to the furnishing of a home, great thought goes into the planning. Magnolia Design Studios can work closely and seamlessly with your architect and builder by creating floor plans and preliminary lighting plans. Working side by side with you in the selection of exterior finishes such as brick, stucco, and roofing, as well as interior finishes such as wood, marble, granite, ceramic flooring and counter tops. We also guide the client with design choices related to cabinetry, carpet, plumbing/lighting fixtures, hardware and paint selections.
Magnolia Design Studios is able to take a room and make it a unique reflection of you. We carefully listen to the desires and needs you present to us, then our goal is to create a room that is enjoyed each time it is entered. This scope includes furniture and lighting plans, selections and/or design of flooring, wall treatments, window treatments, textiles, lighting and accessories.
Many of you have wonderful furnishings and accessories. We only need to "fill in the blanks". Magnolia Design Studios can assist you by going room to room and recommending ways to complete each room either by re-upholstering existing furniture, adding new drapery treatments, additional furnishings, wall treatments, and/or accessories.
